General

1. BMCB (as club) has currently two websites to visualize the weather data of our network: meteo-BE.net and bmcb.club
2. All data - including webcam images - shared with BMCB will/can appear on both websites. It is not possible to share with one website and not with the other; data is exchanged automatically between both websites.

Providing weather data from weather stations

1. Everyone having a Barani weather station - MeteoHelix, MeteoWind, MeteoRain, MeteoAG or combinations of them - can share free of charge these weather data with the BMCB.
2. The owner agrees that all data provided is made publicly available on the internet on all BMCB websites.
3. BMCB will not actively share or forward supplied data with other external parties, except when asked for by the supplier of the data.
4. BMCB cannot be held responsible for people or other websites doing what is called “website scraping” to retrieve data from BMCB websites and use it on their own website.
5. Depending on the setup / siting of the weather station (very open, sheltered, in the woods, etc…) BMCB will assign a class between 0 and 5-stars indicating how representative the station is for the wider area. This classification is done as per BMCB classification rules you can find on this website.
6. You grant BMCB the right to use all data in its applications it has and still to develop.
7. You grant BMCB the right when you decide to stop providing weather data, that all weather data supplied in the past is be retained in BMCB files. It is not possible to ask BMCB to delete previously supplied weather data from maps, tables, summaries, rankings, etc…

Providing webcam images

1. Everyone having a webcam can share the images with BMCB by uploading them to one of our servers. Details and login will be provided when asked for.
2. The owner of the webcam(s) remains reponsible for the images and what is visible. Images should always comply with the local privacy legislation. This means for example: we do not accept images where the garden/backyard of your neighbour is visible nor images containing people you can recognize.
3. You grant BMCB the right to further process the images (for example: resizing, text and BMCB-logo insertion, etc…) and publish them on the BMCB websites.
4. The uploader keeps the copyright of the original image. By uploading to our servers you grant BMCB the right to process and publish them on our websites.

Using weather data from the BMCB websites

1. All data - including webcam and snowcam images - published on BMCB websites is free of charge when:
   1. it is not used for commercial purposes,
   2. the source of data is clearly mentioned or visible,
   3. the data and/or images are not altered. We do not accept cutting away parts of webcam/snowcam images nor blurring of certain areas,
   4. automatic forwarding of data and/or images is not allowed. The only exception is data / images from your weather station(s) or webcam(s)/snowcam(s)
2. Weather data are raw data from the sensors and are not validated. Although numbers believed being correct, always compare observations with other stations nearby. BMCB cannot be held responsible for incorrect data on our websites or forwarding incorrect data to 3rd party websites.
